QUESTION: HOW CAN I MAKE MY NATURAL HAIR MORE MANAGEABLE?

Answer: There are two aspects to managing natural hair; internal and external management. The internal management should be the first and most important. Answer: “Dreadlocks” is the name Rastafarians adopted for their long matted hair back in the 60s. In the early eighties the Natural Hair Care Industry embraced the term "Loc or Locs" to describe natural hair that is singly twisted, and not matted, into majestic coils. They are offend call Traditional Locs, Nubian Locs, Earth Locs, Ancestors Locs and Love Locs! I understand the original term "dreads" was chosen from the word “dreadful” as an anti-Babylon statement by Rastafarians who chose to set themselves apart from western civilization. We created Locs as an statement of Love: affirming our authentic self!!
